Express Computer, in association with Samsung, organised the second chapter of GCC Nxt on June 10, 2026, bringing together over 80 GCC leaders in Bengaluru for a closed-door discussion on how AI-first workplaces, intelligent devices, and evolving enterprise strategies are reshaping the future of Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in India.

The evening opened with a welcome address by Salvi Kotian, Assistant Editor, Express Computer, The Indian Express Group, followed by an inaugural note from Uday Macaden, General Manager & Head of Enterprise Sales – South, Samsung India. Setting the tone for the evening, Macaden highlighted Samsung’s vision for AI-powered workplaces, driven by a connected ecosystem of intelligent devices and enterprise solutions. He also spoke about the growing strategic importance of GCCs, which are increasingly evolving from operational support centres into innovation-led hubs driving AI adoption, collaboration, and business transformation.

The discussions throughout the evening centred on the growing role of AI-powered enterprise devices, intelligent workplace experiences, and the increasing strategic importance of GCCs as organisations accelerate digital transformation initiatives across global operations.

Offering insights into Samsung’s long-term technology vision, Gaurav Kumar, General Manager & Head of Enterprise NPC Sales, Samsung India, outlined the company’s multi-layered approach to research and development.

“R&D in Samsung is very futuristic. We work in three different levels. The first level works on market-ready technology, then there are research institutes which develop technologies with a horizon of three to five years, and finally the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology focuses on core innovations that go beyond five years,” Kumar said.

Highlighting Samsung’s latest enterprise computing innovations, Kumar also spoke about the Samsung Galaxy Book 6 Enterprise Edition, emphasising its focus on productivity, security, and mobility. He noted that the device combines a premium design with enterprise-grade security features powered by Samsung Knox and Intel vPro, enabling hardware-level protection while supporting AI-enhanced productivity experiences for modern workplaces.

The conversation around the future of enterprise AI continued with Aditya Waghray, Alliance Director, Microsoft, who shared Microsoft’s perspective on the rise of agentic AI and intelligent operating environments.

“We are all moving towards agentic AI. We have embedded Microsoft Copilot in Windows 11 Pro. Copilot has work IQ, which can build process flows based on how users want to interact with agents and automate tasks,” Waghray said.

The discussion around enterprise computing and AI infrastructure was further expanded by Rajita Kaundin, Director of Commercial Client Business & Scale, Intel, who highlighted how the latest generation of Intel processors is helping organisations balance performance, efficiency, security, and AI capabilities.

“With the latest Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, users get our best combination of performance, power efficiency and built-in AI running locally, helping save cloud costs, improve latency, and enhance data privacy. All of this comes wrapped in the Intel vPro business-class platform,” Kaundin said.

The event also witnessed the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Book 6 Enterprise Edition by Samsung, alongside leaders from Samsung, Intel, and Microsoft. The launch underscored the growing importance of AI-enabled enterprise devices as organisations increasingly look to balance productivity, security, and intelligent automation within distributed work environments.

A major highlight of the evening was the GCC Leadership Spotlight segment, moderated by Sayantan Mondal, Correspondent, Express Computer, The Indian Express Group. The session brought together senior GCC leaders who shared focused insights into their organisations’ growth journeys, strategic priorities, talent development initiatives, and innovation-led transformation efforts.

The discussion featured Rency Mathew, Managing Director India & APAC ANZ People Leader, Sabre Corporation; Rohan Kanungo, Director & Global Capability Center Site Lead, GSK; Harish Athreya, DT Engineering Head, India Digital Capability Centre, Pratt & Whitney; Srinivas Chamarthy, Senior Vice President of Engineering & India Site Lead, Diligent India; and Romit Sen, Senior Director of Product Management & India Site Lead, Blackhawk Network.

During the session, the leaders discussed AI-first GCCs and how they are evolving into strategic hubs that drive enterprise-wide innovation and collaboration with distributed workforce across the globe.

The Bengaluru edition of GCC Nxt reflected the growing momentum around AI-led enterprise transformation within India’s GCC ecosystem, remarkable capabilities and qualities of AI powered laptops and the importance of a connected ecosystem for better collaboration and productivity. Conversations throughout the evening highlighted how intelligent devices, agentic AI, secure computing environments, and innovation-focused GCCs are helping shape the next phase of enterprise growth, productivity, and workplace transformation.
