Explores AI-Powered Innovation, Enterprise Computing, and the Next Generation of GCCs

Express Computer, in association with Samsung, organised the second chapter of GCC Nxt on June 26, 2026, bringing together over 80 GCC leaders in Hyderabad for a closed-door discussion on how AI-first workplaces, intelligent devices, and evolving enterprise strategies are reshaping the future of Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in India.

The evening opened with an inaugural note from Puneet Sethi, Head of Enterprise Business- Samsung India Electronics. Setting the tone for the evening, Sethi Highlighted Hyderabad's rapid emergence as a GCC hub and showcased Samsung's connected enterprise ecosystem, including boardroom, NOC, mobility, and display solutions, while emphasizing strategic partnerships with Microsoft and Intel to deliver integrated workplace experiences.

The discussions throughout the evening centred on the growing role of AI-powered enterprise devices, intelligent workplace experiences, and the increasing strategic importance of GCCs as organisations accelerate digital transformation initiatives across global operations.

Showcasing Samsung's global innovation leadership, Srinivasulu Jalukuri, General Manager & Enterprise Pre-Sales Lead (South), Samsung India Electronics, highlighted the company's USD 24 billion annual investment in R&D, its portfolio of over 400,000 global patents, and India's growing role in Samsung's innovation ecosystem. He also demonstrated how Samsung's integrated enterprise solutions, powered by the Galaxy ecosystem and Samsung Knox, are enabling secure, connected, and future-ready digital workplaces for GCCs.

The event also witnessed the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Book 6 Enterprise Edition by Samsung, alongside leaders from Samsung, Intel, and Microsoft. The launch underscored the growing importance of AI-enabled enterprise devices as organisations increasingly look to balance productivity, security, and intelligent automation within distributed work environments.

Highlighting Intel's vision for the AI PC era, Kameswara N, State Business Manager, Enterprise & Government Business (AP & Telangana), Intel, discussed the rapid evolution of AI workloads and the need for enterprises to modernize their computing infrastructure. He showcased Intel's AI PC roadmap, next-generation Intel Core Ultra, Xeon, and Gaudi processors, emphasizing the importance of a balanced CPU, GPU, and NPU architecture to power secure, energy-efficient, and AI-ready enterprise environments.

The conversation around the future of enterprise AI continued with Aditya Waghray, Alliance Director, Microsoft, who shared Microsoft’s perspective on the rise of agentic AI and intelligent operating environments.

The future of AI is agentic, where intelligent agents collaborate with minimal human intervention. With Windows 11 Pro and Copilot+ PCs, co-engineered with Samsung and Intel, we're enabling enterprises to run AI securely on-device, making adoption faster, more efficient, and enterprise-ready," Waghray said.

Addressing the evolving role of Android in enterprise AI, Mayank Sharma, Android Enterprise Partnerships, APAC, Google, explained how Google's collaboration with Samsung is enabling connected, secure, and AI-powered workplace experiences across devices. He emphasized the importance of on-device AI, Gemini-powered productivity, and enterprise-grade security in supporting the next generation of AI-first GCCs.

A major highlight of the evening was the GCC Leadership Spotlight segment, moderated by Atreyee Chakraborty, Chief Correspondent, Express Computer, The Indian Express Group. The session brought together senior GCC leaders who shared focused insights into their organisations’ growth journeys, strategic priorities, talent development initiatives, and innovation-led transformation efforts.

The discussion featured Arvind Chittora, Managing Director - Sonoco India GCC and Anil Kumar Chalasani, EVP Technology & Operations and MD India, Gainsight.

During the session, the leaders discussed AI-first GCCs and how they are evolving into strategic hubs that drive enterprise-wide innovation and collaboration with distributed workforce across the globe.

The Hyderabad edition of GCC Nxt reflected the growing momentum around AI-led enterprise transformation within India’s GCC ecosystem, remarkable capabilities and qualities of AI powered laptops and the importance of a connected ecosystem for better collaboration and productivity. Conversations throughout the evening highlighted how intelligent devices, agentic AI, secure computing environments, and innovation-focused GCCs are helping shape the next phase of enterprise growth, productivity, and workplace transformation.
